Hi,
My name is Andy and I'm currently doing a two year film trainee course in the Isle of Man. Anyway, Ive just shot a short 4-5 minute film and after the arduous task of capturing all my 3 and a half tapes of footage, ive just started editing. I have a deadline of about April the 5th to get it finished as my film and those of my fellow trainees are being sown on a big screen at a local arts venue. Anyway anyway, I'm not going to have much, if any, time to compose music for my film so I am looking for someone to compose something for me.
Im cutting the film to the Requiem for a Dream main theme, you might have heard it on the recent LOTR trilers, so I would like any music to have that mood and feel. It is quite an emotional film and the music would have to really drive it on. I can probably have a very rough cut done in the next few days and send that on cd to you so if anyone is interested in writing some music for it you can email me at
andyblackburn(at)hotmail.com
Unfortunately you will have to live in the United Kingdom because due to me not haveing broadband i will probably have to post the CD instead of someone downloading it. I am also unable to pay the composer, so a credit and copy of the final film will be all you'll get. You will obviously reatain copyright.
Sorry for the long post!
I may have missed some details so feel free to ask me anything about the film.
Thanks
Andy Blackburn

Yeah, I spose so. As long as you own the copyright or whatever. I'll probably be entering it into festivals and stuff so It would have to be cleared for commercial use.

I've found some music on the net that is free to use and suits the film perfectly, so i won't need a composer anymore.
Maybe when i'm in the big leagues I'll drop you an email Christian!
Cheers
